WelDays 2024 goes all out…
WelDays is an annual tradition with new themes for services during the holiday season. This is the fourth consecutive WelDays event, with the first one being in 2020. Every November since 2022, I have posted about the event on Presswave, and this is the first year that it is not a main article.
For this year, Presswave is enshrined with a new snow effect that has been given to ComicServer in years past. Presswave gets a light bulb design at the top of the site as well, which is interactive with animation! ComicServer Daily gets a new theme which is comprised of Candy Apple Red and Library Green dots, plus swanky fonts to capture the holidays, minus the snow.
…Cesium is already three…
It baffles me how fast time moves nowadays, and that clearly shows now. ComicServer is on track to turn half a decade old next year, and Cesium is about to turn three on the thirtieth. I have subconsciously had it in my head that Cesium was still one (probably because it was), but two years have come and went.
I won’t bore you with specifics (I’ve already gone way too in-depth here), but TLDR: Cesium set ComicServer on a brand-new path that jumpstarted the service back to life after I almost discontinued it in March 2021. It’s comforting to know that it’s legacy lives on in ComicServer Daily, well, every day.

To cap off this Feat (the twenty-fifth!), I want to reminisce on some milestones this year brought, like I promised at the end of this article.
This year started out with ComicServer App deprecating in January. Incredibly sad, but worthwhile in the evolution of ComicServer as a whole. The following month, in February, TuneGram was Introduced, a breath of fresh air since the last new service, dispatch, a year prior.
In July, Cursori was introduced, and just a few days later, on August 1st, ComicServer Daily and Cursori worked together to make the first consecutive run of ComicServer Daily emails since January, which is now running every day again.
There are also some more minor milestones, ComicServer versions turning another year, ComicServer Daily and Express turn two and four, respectively (in December), and Presswave turned another year older in July.
2024 is the year of milestones and a new frontier with TuneGram and Cursori, and it sets 2025 up for success.
